AMENDMENT 58

Amendment: Section 6A1.1 is amended by deleting "(a)" immediately before "A probation officer", and by deleting:

"(b) The presentence report shall be disclosed to the defendant, counsel for the defendant and the attorney for the government, to the maximum extent permitted by Rule 32(c), Fed. R. Crim. P. Disclosure shall be made at least ten days prior to the date set for sentencing, unless this minimum period is waived by the defendant. 18 U.S.C. § 3552(d).".

Reason for Amendment: The purpose of this amendment is to delete material more properly covered elsewhere. See §6A1.2 (Disclosure of Presentence Report; Issues in Dispute (Policy Statement)).

Effective Date: The effective date of this amendment is June 15, 1988.
