AMENDMENT 261

Amendment: The Commentary to §4A1.1 captioned "Background" is amended in the third paragraph by inserting "a" immediately before "criminal", and by deleting "control" and inserting in lieu thereof "sentence".

Reason for Amendment: The purpose of this amendment is to conform the commentary to the guideline.

Effective Date: The effective date of this amendment is November 1, 1989.
