Learning Objectives

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • Describe the four general principles underlying the sentencing guidelines for organizational defendants;
  • Identify the four types of orders the court can implement to remedy the harms the organization caused by its criminal conduct;
  • Identify the three circumstances where the court does not calculate a fine range for an organizational defendant;
  • Determine a fine range for an offense subject to the guideline fine provisions;
  • Identify the factors the court considers when implementing the fine; and
  • Describe the implementation of probation for an organizational defendant.
