AMENDMENT 47

Amendment: Section 4B1.1 is amended by deleting "(2) the instant offense is a crime of violence or trafficking in a controlled substance" and inserting in lieu thereof "(2) the instant offense of conviction is a felony that is either a crime of violence or a controlled substance offense".

Reason for Amendment: The purposes of this amendment are to correct a clerical error and to clarify the guideline.

Effective Date: The effective date of this amendment is January 15, 1988.
