Grouping of Multiple Counts
If you’ve ever encountered a federal case with more than one count of conviction, you need to attend this session. Learn how to determine a single guideline range where there are multiple counts – we’ll make it easy by using our decision tree to apply the grouping rules to various offense types. The session will address grouping rules for cases involving a single composite harm, the assignment of units for cases involving separate harms, and cases involving multiple grouping rules.
The following scenarios and exercises were reviewed at recent National Seminars on the topic of multiple counts.
