NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING OF THE UNITED STATES SENTENCING COMMISSION

October 12, 2005

Pursuant to Rule 3.5 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the United States Sentencing Commission, a public meeting of the Commission is scheduled for Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building, One Columbus Circle, N.E., in Suite 2-500 (South Lobby). It is expected that the public meeting will last approximately thirty minutes to conduct the business detailed in the following agenda:

Report of the Interim Staff Director
Approval of August 2005 Minutes
Vote on Emergency Amendment on Intellectual Property
Vote on Emergency Amendment on Obstruction/Terrorism
Adjourn
