NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND PUBLIC MEETING OF THE
U.S. SENTENCING COMMISSION
The United States Sentencing Commission will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to the sentencing guidelines on Monday, March 19, 2001, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building, One Columbus Circle, N.E., in the Judicial Conference Center (South Lobby).
Pursuant to Rule 3.2 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure (U.S. Sentencing Commission (July 1997)), the U.S. Sentencing Commission will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, March 20, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building, One Columbus Circle, N.E., in Suite 2-500 (South Lobby). It is expected that the meeting will conclude by 1:45 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting will be to conduct the business detailed in the following agenda:
1. Introductory Remarks and Report from the Chair
2. Approval of Minutes
3. Staff Director's Report
4. Vote to Promulgate Emergency Amendments (effective May 1, 2001)
